Hello All
2015 is going to see some cool stuff happening, including Tymen Boumar from Anura wine farm (our training sponsor) doing some earthworks to improve our venue!
Anura now has an operating micro brewery to complement their wines and top class restaurant so it's a good place to visit even when there's no training on the go! http://www.anura.co.za/
So the trainers have got together and decided on the training schedule for the year (thanks John and Donford for facilitating all the to-ing and fro-ing to finalise it); and here it is - we've tried to take public and school holidays into account:
Bookings through Jamie at Donford please ... jaime.heyns@bmwdealer.co.za
The cost for the day is R400.00 (solo) and R650.00 (including pillion) which includes the lunch.

Training is intended to increase confidence and skill - anyone who leaves the farm with a smile and having achieved any degree of that has passed!
There is a continual focus on safety, so good riding gear is important and nobody should feel pressured to do anything they are uncomfortable with - if you bear that in mind you'll enjoy the day and probably come back for more!
Been waiting for these dates, booked level one & two!
Been waiting for these dates, booked level one & two!
Last year John and I decided that every 3rd week of the month would be good and I announced it at the club meeting ... then the ladies got involved and fixed our thinking :-)
We hadn't considered the public and school holidays so the 3rd week wasn't ideal. Thanks to Jaime and Anna-Marie we now have more workable dates.
We can still accommodate a couple of LEVEL 1 and Level 2 riders on this training day. As it is riding season and a lot of new riders with their new sexy GS's on the road, come and join us in this fun filled day. This is a training day to exercise and improve on your skills and to encourage your confidence....bonding with your GS is time well spend. Bookings closing on 17/02/2015. Please mail me at annamarie@wine-ways.co.za as Jaime is on leave. Proof of payment will confirm your booking. Looking forward to some newcomers.
I am booked for level 1 on 29 March. I would like to know payment details, as I will be going away next week during the week and wanted to secure my booking through payment before I go on holiday. Thanks.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make tomorrow's training. My radiator decided to start leaking and my bike won't be fixed in time.
I cannot make the April date, but would someone please put my name down for level one on 31 May.
Please make use of the new online booking facility for our next training day 19 April. Level 1 & 2 and Pillion: Online Booking

Please take note that the training for Level 1, 2 & Pillions for 28 June has been cancelled due to school holidays, hunting trips, tours to Namibia & all the adventurous things we GS riders do this time of the year. Any booking and/or payment will be carried forward to the 26 July 2015 training day, Anura Vineyards. Julie and I are coming to the training this Sunday (26th July). I was worried about riding out to Klapmuts early on Sunday, with her not having ridden in a while. But I found a wonderful solution - we have booked ourselves into a BnB (Muldersvlei Estate) in Klapmuts. So we can ride up at our leisure on Saturday.
Our fantastic adventure (ok, you had to be there) that we made of this training weekend is described here.
This serves as a reminder of this upcoming weekend Level 1 & 2 Off road training dd 30 Aug at Anura Vineyards.

Hi All, I'm keen to join you on 20 Sept. Is there a curriculum for the level II that a past participant or instructor might share?
I'm looking forward to it, and will hopefully see some of you soon.

Hi Anna-Marie
Can you please confirm what the Level 1 training course entails.
Still recovering from a reattached bicep tendon, and 06 Dec being just under 3 months post op, I was wondering how strenuous Level 1 would be on the arms. Except for having to lift a downed bike (to learn how to lift it), is there anything else that could potentially be a problem.
May one just observe a specific part of the training, where you feel you are unable to possibly do it?
I've recently bought a G650GS and can't wait to get that Level 1 under the belt :)
Thank you
Tarryn
On 6 Dec we will host the LAST training day for 2015. As bookings are filling up quickly, dont delay to confirm your booking. As always we are treated as VIP's at Anura Vineyards and using their facilities a priviledge. Beautiful views with the wine tasting and beer brewery a cool reward after a hard day's work.
