at times I ride faster than my guardian angle can fly
Hi flipper
I would love to participate, but find I get more bang for the buck going to Nelson's Creek in Feb, West Coast trips with Geoff, and privately organized rides like our recent Middelpos trip.
I am on a bit of a budget, and I need to work... ;-)
I suppose that makes sense then, It is a bit pricey But we need one of you older members to come and do the trip report
I can't spell Freak doesn't know what a trip report is and Ruan won't remember anything
at times I ride faster than my guardian angle can fly
We got there we pinned the throttles to da stops bwaaaaaaaar, pop , bang, we rode ,we rode , we rode, tralalalalaaaa la laa la laa.
I can do it yup!
I RIDE THEREFORE I AM!
So much to do, so little time.
Guys,
I'd love to go along. really love to go to the GASC.
But there's only 25 hours in a day and only 8 days in a week, I simply cannot fit it all in.
On my budget constraints- remember we are two bikes and so I have to pay for 6 services a year- Annie's bikes needs 2 and I do 4 services a year- you gotta remmmber I bought my bike to use not look at in a garage.
Then I go off-tar all over the Cape so I need to budget for B&B, fuel, tyres, etc etc etc, boy it never ends. my 40 000 kilos a year wears out my safety gear much faster than the average rider. So gloves, boots, pants, jacket it all adds up.
So I select my tours n trips very carefully to fit around my already full and fun weekends.
The main criteria I use is the same as Charles- value for my money.
The GASC amongst all the other trips planned and done so far does not go as far for me as the others do.
I have really good company close enough here to ride with so have not felt the urge to go on a GASC to find the awesome comeraderie and teammanship I can get on a west Coast tour, club ride or the informal rides we make.
Still, one day soon I'll go to the GASC.
Andyman
Yup that's me. Standing up in the traffic on the 1150GSA.
Andyman Anyone can ride a bike fast.... But can you ride your bike real slow???
Watse twak is daai "something for the boyz"??? Hier's my nr ingeval ek uitmis op ietsie top secret, 946 Celia Kat. Vir wat antwoord jy nie wat jy beplan nie Freaky? Solank dit iets is om na uit te sien...
Designer mud - the irony....
I did the Matroosberg GCC prep- weekend, organised by Leon this past weekend. One guy picthed up with his number plate covered with designer mud. We all left on Sunday with bikes so dirty that you can hardly tell the "make" or colour of your bike ..
This was an awsome week-end on an awsome piece of land.
Regards
