The Anakee Wild Off road Tyres have finally arrived.

About 2 years late I first saw these tyres in real life in Munich earlier in the year.

Interesting to see the prices and get some local test results.

Here are some prices I saw on Gumtree out of Pinetown, Natal.

Anakee Wild

150/70/17 - R1 910

110/80/19 - R1 480

I saw a number of shops upcountry advertising their stock has arrived. I was at trac-mac yesterday and asked when they getting theirs. They said next week and pricing will be similar or slightly higher than the equivalent tck80.

our stock is expected around 12 midday today, so we will have stock too.

Please note that the size: 90/90/21 will only be imported early in 2017, so no stock of that for now...

thanks, Chris & Team

I am trying to find the review I read on these tyres. Edit - Chris posted the link on Facebook

from what I can recall they are confidence inspiring and out perform their competitors in the dirt and on the tar.

deflation is not recommended

From the article:-

Michelin also suggests that you do not air down this tire for the trail. They designed this radial to perform with said proper air pressure, so consider that one on your ride. And so we did as we hit the trail, although old habits are hard to break. I personally compromised. Instead of dropping to 25 psi front and rear as I typically do, I only ‘took the edge off’ and ran the rest of the day, both on and off the trail, with 30/32 psi front and rear, down from the OE recommended (single rider) 32/36 psi.
