JdJ, the timing will overlap with the GS-rides. We will only be back after the start of the GS challange. As I said, ALL "tar" riders welcome. SO much is available for the "off-roaders". This is a BMW weekend and this time special events will be held for the "tar" riders as well.

JdJ, Dont feel bad!!! I know the feeling of rejection Padlangs arranges all the BMW RT Rides to coincide with my time out of South Africa. Thats why I ride with the Growing Old Disgracefull's of Ulysses. You are welcome to join me for a ride anytime when I am at home Unlike the Green Mamba my RT welcomes any Boxer Motor on trips just promise that you will stay away from Tall Buildings until you come to terms with this rejection. All the Best Brahman Ps If you need counselling to achieve closure call Lifeline they really do care!!!!

It's called phone someone that cares.......if there is someone to phone....he he !!! Not that it really bothers me - there is more than enough space in Africa and the world for both the "tar" and the "dirt" riders to enjoy....just a pitty that some gets very anxious when the other enters their small little circle of security and confidence. As a relative new member I know understand the "mutual feeling" between the "tar" and "non tar" riders of peace, love and happiness ....... Thank you for invite though, might just take you up on it. Keep it SAFE !!

Don't phone Brahman... Rather send him a please call me - insane tariffs on Angolan phone calls!!! Alternatively 1-800- CARE BEAR!!! He needs as many people as possible to sign up to be his friends. He comes accross as the playground bully but is a big softy!!!! As his loving daughter, I am more than willing to pay a monthly salary to all who sign up to being his friend- I will make it worth it!!! When he is home, he does spur of the moment trips all over the place, he looks for any excuse to get on his beloved bike! So please someone take pity on the man (",) Regards, Anna

JdJ, I deliberately did not use the terms GS or GSA. I know of many GS riders that stay on tar, either all the time or most of the time. If you listened to the feedback in February, you know many "tar" riders felt left out. Some said out right - "Nelsons Creek is just a local GS challange". This time round there will still be many "dirt events", but I will be promoting the "on road" events. Any GS rider that does not want to part-take in the dirt events are welcome to join the "tar" events. Please remember it is a "mystery event" - closer to the time we will have to check the interest level. Ideally, no more than 40 bikes - otherwise we will have to amend our plans.

Johan I think Padlangs was only mentioning that as an off-road rider you might not want to spend all day on tar when things like the skills challenge and other events that would be interesting to an off-road rider will be on offer. I don't think he was being tactful in the way you describe. ;-) Last year Brenda Buttercup asked me to enter her in the skills challenge - and although she was not the best competitor, she was the most beautiful. regards Charles

Thanks Charles. Now you have to find out if Brenda wants to play in the dirt. Once she finds out what the mystery ride WAS about, she is going to throw a fit that you dirtied her voluptuous curves in the mud. PS I use "was" (past tense), since it will remain a MYSTERY until the start of the event. PPS I am also working on a MYSTERY over-night on-road ride, open to everybody (even JdJ) that wants to ride on-road. :) :) Now back to the thread - who else is joining the Mystery ride?

I think that deep down inside Brenda likes getting dirty from time to time - it sure looked like that when looking at how with Charles on her back, they flew down and out of "Die Hell"...they even had their little romantic moment in the 1st water crossing.....it's pure love !!! Keep it SAFE !!

I'll be there, and so too will Cliff, Wolfgang and James. Am angling for a BMW GS bike for the weekend though, but if not, will be on the RT. Cheers Lawrence

It does not matter if you are an off road rider or an on road rider, all that is needed for the Nelson's Creek mystery ride are: a BMW motorcycle, rider with pillion or without pillion, a pen or pencil, good road sense and a sense of humour. The whole idea of the mystery ride is for all participants to have fun on their motorcycles.
