This magnificent gravel pass must rank as the pass in South Africa with the most urban legends and incorrect information. In our news release today we unpack the technical side of the pass and supply accurate information and set the record straight. It's amazing how many respected publications and websites state that this is the highest pass in South Africa. It is in fact the 4th highest, being superseded by the Ben MacDhui Pass, the Sani Pass and the TTT. Even if we take the relatively new Ben MacDhui and the TTT out of the equation, Sani Pass is much higher than Naude's Nek.

We refilmed this 33 km long pass in April 2017 and have produced a detailed 6 piece video set for those who want to check things out as first time riders or simply to relive old memories. On the video voice overs, we cover local history, trout fishing and other interesting bits you probably didn't know about.
