Go see a good lawyer. In future use an independent dealer, the likes of Andrew or Shane or Alf.
I own 2 of them. I can tell you that my bikes where with them more during the gaurentee period than when it was out of warrenty. I had to take it back all the time after a service.
They do not have proper trained not skilled mechanics. They where never at fault either even after the cvt disintregrated directly after the service - 20 km. They never tightened the cvt and I had constantly had the tightened the bolts after a service.
Now I servive it myself. Much cheaper and more skilled than their hammer mentality - their tool of choice.
The bikes is cheap chinese but it can last much longer if maintened properly.
Now they are forcing you to have it serviced by them for 2 years - new warrenty period.
I recommend buying the bike and skip their so called warrenty.Have it serviced by a skilled trained mechanic and not over the shoulder hammer mechanic.
Was going to buy the Terra-Strada to join when we have plastic bike days and just to get my confidence back. Saw all the articles about pieces falling off and having to check everything- then realised I'm too lazy and have trust in mechanics doing what they're supposedly qualified to do.
No thank you Moto-mia- will rather then stick to good second hand piece of @#$^& where bolts stay on after years of neglect and you battle to get them off.
Glad to hear person's ok but share the sentiment that we shouldn't just let people walk away from their warranty and responsibilites ...
Salim, rather get a Honda CRF230F if you are going that way. The Terra-Strada won't survive one plastics day - it is too fancy and trick (and the front wheel is too small - looks like a 19").
Personally, I would recommend getting into trials - but I am terribly biased and cannot be trusted with this kind of advice . The beginner lines (Clubman class) are always safe and do not require you to have special skills or steel balls - two of our Clubman riders are grandpas.
Thanks for all the support!"
