Moving GS 1200 LC Adv gear lever

Hi All,

I recently bought some Adv boots and struggle to get my foot cleanly under the gear lever.

I need my gear lever to be adjusted higher than it can currently go. I have tried on the adjusting mechanism, loosened both lock nuts and turned it until it wouldn't go any more but need it still higher.

Does anyone know if it's possible to move the gear lever on the 1200 LC Adventure up one notch on the gear shaft splines?
Cheers

You don't need to get the boot under the gear lever.

Use the edge/lip of the boot to catch the lever when gearing up.

My boots don't have welting so that won't work for me.

I have the 2014 GS1200LC and you can certainly adjust the gear lever. I had the same problem and adjusted my lever one notch. I am sure you must be able to do it on the ADV as . Maybe your lever just sits very tight....
