MARSHAL TRAINING -WED 26th FEB

The next marshal training is scheduled for :-

Venue: main boardroom, Dole, D'Urban Square,  26 Bella Rosa Street, Rosenpark,  Bellville

Time : 18H30 to 21H30

http://www.bmwmccc.org.za/ride-marshal-database-r-u-interested

Who  : The current bike marshals as well as

any interested in being trained as an event marshal

Any ride leader or aspirant ride leader or interested persons.

Booking essential for handout preparation.

This is a must do training session if you want to be listed as a qualified event marshal for road and off-road sports events.

This is very useful if you lead group rides or would like to learn what the requirements are for leading a group ride.

This training program has grown from both interest within the club and as a result of requirements from event organisers to have access to booking motorcycle operators as event marshals.

Marhsalling is not just about being good on a bike and riding a course.

It is a discipline and carries enormous responsibility.

We would like to field a pool of marshals of a high standard, endorsed by the club, to uphold the reputation of providing a very strong field of good Marshals for events.

We have earned respect on the Burger Fiets Toer, sundry cycling events and 6 years running for the Pick n Pay Argus Cycle Tour.

Enquiries are now coming in from other organisations.

Leading a club ride too is not as fun and simple as it appears, you work hard to be the clean rider on a gravel road.

Come and learn what it means to lead a club ride.

PLEASE respond by email andy@abarc.co.za or by PM on the www.bmwmccc.org.za forum.

As always your training was professionally delivered and hit the spot ito things I was not sure about.  I feel much more confident about my role as a marshal now.

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciate all the effort you are going to to make us better bike marshals.

Did anyone take notes, especially of the PPA rules segment?

If yes, could you please forward them to me.
