Marshalling is not just about being good on a bike and riding a course.
It is a discipline and carries enormous responsibility.
Philip would like to increase the pool of marshals
We already have a pool of marshals of a high standard providing a very strong field of good Marshals for events.
The summer season is fast approaching and the calendar of Cycle events starts in October and ends at thwe end of May 2015
There is a strong demand for 6 to 8 marshals almost every weekend.
This load needs to relay on a significant pool of trained skilled marshals, remunerated for each event..
PLEASE respond by email andy@abarc.co.za or by PM on the www.bmwmccc.org.za forum
Followed by a Ground school session 08H00, Newlands Froest- with aMS Augusta helicopter.
If I have missed your name , please chase me up.
And I have paid.
Thanks.
Paid thanks
Please ad me to your collection - look forward to changing the Bored Room to BOARDROOM?
Human you. no way you are a machine
Hi Andy. Is the venue still the same.? Will pay this week.
Dear all, due to complexities with door axcess due to paranoia around security and IP, the venue is now the main boardroom,
Donford Motorrad, Webersvallei road,
off R44
Jamestown,
Close to Stellenbosch
Same time.
The Helicopter gorund shcool is on Saturday 18th at the Working on Fire station, Newlands Forest, (Just abouve the M# motorway and just after the Rhodes Memorial entrance if going out of town).
Metro AMS will give us an opportunity to do Crew Guard training twice a year.
Please make this one if you can.
Goes for all marshals holding a training certificate
Hi Andy, count me in for the crew guard training on Saturday 18th. Thanks for organizing.
Hi Andy please dont leave me out .. I suffer from severe FOMO .. paid 9/9/14
I regularly get invalid user error messages due to some email address of yours that is invalid. Perhaps you would miss out less if your email address on the site was correct
Please include me n the crew guard training too
I also would like to invite current certified marshals as well as this group to the ground school training with Metro AMS the following Saturday 15th October, 08H00 at Newlands Forest fire control station ( next to Rhodes Memorial). finish by 11h00
The Crew Guard is part of the course.
On the Saturday, the Metro Air Mercy Service (AMS) Augusta 9 medical evac helicopter and the AMS team will do currency passing of our marshals and some of the WSAR operatives.
They will give us the talk on helicopter familiarisation, working around helicopters and how to form the crew guard to make an LZ safe for the pilot to come into and to depart from.
Then they do a few landings and departures so we can g=ain familiarity with the noise, air draft and the rotors.
This of course is important on events where we may be required to create take assertive imitative a safe LZ and control the LZ so that the responding helicopter pilot can feel safe in your controlled environment.
This opportunity will be made available to Philip's marshals every 6 months and I encourage marshals to keep current by attending at least once a year.
Hi Any
I will attend Wednesday 15th training at Danford.
Thanks
We have three places left. Let me know if you are interested.
I should be on your list Andy - Transfer done 26 August 2014....
Course you are, sorry for the absent minded deletion.
Won't be making this one Andy ... I have lifeguard training on Wed night.
Thank you to those excellent men and woman who attended.
Thanks Stew from Think Bike for coming along as well to participate, I know this was mostly repeat from your own courses so thanks for coming to see how ours runs and lets make good things happen in 2015's season.
I sent the mail for feedback and the course notes, Eric, I still cannot find your email addy.
I laminated the certificates and will bring them to the Helicopter Ground School training on Saturday.
Once again, thank you to Donford Motorrad for the use of venue and catering.
My sincerest apologies Andy - I had a conference call to the States at 17h30, which ran significantly later than planned - and which meant I'd have only arrived in Setllenbosch around 8.
Once again my humblest.........
Craig.
On the various app stores there are tools freely available for guiding first responders in the triage of a medical patient.
Please forward this onto yourown world & those who may find benefit in using this and start encouraging its widespread use.
The benefit of this – is that it creates a common standard to record and relay critical information to paramedics.
It is strongly suggested to use it in training scenarios to assist with familiarity in its use for operational work.
