Hi Folks,
You are hereby invited to join this relaxed ride out to Worcester over Du Toits Pass where we will grab a bite before tackling a couple of passes on a scenic route back to Cape Town. This is going to be a laid back outing so the back riders won't have to worry about travelling at 150 Kph. to keep up with the pack. Ideal for the less experienced rider. Meet at the Engel garage in Plattekloof at 08h00. Ride briefing at 08h15 and depart at 08h30.
We should be home by lunch time.
Let me know if you are going to join in so that I can arrange the breakfast. Respond to this link or at ericp@telkomsa.net
Thanks Eric,
a Enjoyable and relaxed ride well organised and you are forgiven for not knowing that the Departure point was changed from Panorama to Plattekloof some time ago. The venue for Breakfast excellent choice and the Breakfast itself very good.

Thank you John I look forward to riding with you again soon.
No pics though. I managed to resize them but gave up after unsucessfully trying to load them with the trip report. Need to figure out how to do that and try again.
Going to do something else now.
Cheers.
You are welcome to join the next ride. I'm looking forward to it.
Weather conditions look good for the ride. Temp range 25 to 33. Wind speed 35 Km on the Cape Town side and down to 7 Km in the Boland. Humidity a comfortable 62% and no chance of rain.
We are in luck as the conditions are perfect.
See you all at Engen @ 08hh00.
As the group has increased to over 25 people the restaurant will no longer be able to provide the usual full Al La Carte menu for us to be able to complete the ride by the promised lunch time. So we have negotiated a special deal where everyone will receive a full farmhouse breakfast with one coffee for R50 each. Addition cups of coffee will cost R7 each for the more thirsty. If you can please bring R55 each (tip included) in the correct note/coin denomination to facilitate easy payment collection. Breakfast money will be collected per table at the venue.
Looking forward to meeting/seeing you on Sunday morning.
We have 20 confirmed riders including myself and 4 maybe's.

Just to confirm that this is a road ride. My ride this morning revealed that one of my favourite restuarants the Kokerboom in the Karoo Botanical Garden near Worscester has closed. Sad, but no problem, I just switched to another favourite, the Barn. Great little place situated in an Art Gallery with both in and outdoor seating. Food is good just check out the attached photo of this mornings french toast.
Please check the names and let me know if I have missed anyone:
