Good day folks, sorry that this is my introduction post sad.

Happy new owner of an '04 GS1150A. Lost keys last night and have no spares.

Seems I need to remove the ignition cylinder and get it to a locksmith.

Does anyone have experience of this?

Well, the happy news is I found the key code in the bike documents from previous owner.

Question is now, if anyone knows where I could get one cut immediately in the Western Cape rather than wait for shipping from Joburg?

Master keys in Belville (down Durban road) will make you a new chipped key. give them a call.

I didn't need a chipped key, as the '04 GS1150 does not require one.

However, Master Keys were able to cut one from my key number.

Thanks very much for the recommendation Mike. If I ever bump into you, your beers are on me.
