GS Challenge, West Coast Tour, hospital operation, marriage in Secunda, long weekend, school holiday – and do not forget about the rain. Surely the breakfast run was going to be a non-event. Think again, 15 bikes and 18 people showed up. Chritso Lombard’s wife, Petro, joined us for her first group ride. A steady ride via the N1, Klapmuts, R44 to Wellington. From Wellington to Nuwekloof pass the road works allowed a nice opportunity to stretch the legs. All along we were riding in the sun, with dark clouds on either side of the road. At Boulders Bush Pub the coffee was waiting for us.
