LMG aka Abel? Question for you please?

Sorry that I post this question on the forum but I do not have your email address. I saw when we did the KOO valley run that you fitted a Aerotrim on your screen? Did you buy it from Zoro aka Charles Brink and does it work for you? I desperately want to fit an Aerotrim on my screen, F650GS. I already purchased a clear high Dakar screen but the wind still bothers me... Thank you :-) Corné Kloppers ckloppers@cybersmart.co.za 0849130391

Hi Corne, My Aerotrim arrived to day, it is well made and all those I chatted to confirm that it is money well spent. The aero dynamics are very simple. yes I bought mine from Charles Brink. This week ends task. Bum in the saddle, always.

Corne As Cheesy said, it is money well spent. I bought mine from touratech, but I believe the product is sort of standard and you can buy it from anyone who can supply it at a reasonable price. Abel

Hi Johan, A brief run down on the Prince Albert trip is like no other. It's like going home, exciting, anxious are words that come to mind. Well, NO RAIN the whole way. Leaving Montagu and on to Barrydale, what a magic piece of tarmac that is, The vines were greener the mountains crisper the air cleaner and nipier, God's own country. Slooowly through Barrydale and then crank it open to Ladismith. Those Swartberg mountains were not looking too good, lots of heavy cloud around, the road to Calitzdorp was damp so it was slower through the Huisrivier pass (no roadworks)Decision time, do we go through the back route via the dam or tar road, rain clouds make that an easy choice, but lets see what's up in Oudtshoorn, clouds are real HEAVY at the top. This side seems fine but it's the other side, visions of pot clay go through my mind and slippin 'n sliden down is not too attractive at this point in time and besides father time is catching up. I press on to De Rust from Oudtshoorn. Man o Man you should have seen the traffic, like Adderly Str. My concern was going through Meiringspoort and meeting a 4 X 4 head on through a corner. The drivers were well diciplined, it was a pleasure/relief. The road from Klaarstroom to P A is stunning, that P A Vally is soo beautiful. Well true to form the Lazy Lizard apple crumble is to die for, and that with fresh farm cream, that thick S A E 30 viscosity type, dis sommer baie lekker Tannie. Early Monday morning on the road again and despite the talk at Lazy L by the various visitors that the long way round is the best way on a bike I tempted fate. Hit the gravel, hey this feels good, very good. One small detour up the pass and a few wet patches and over the top in low cloud. Visability restored this beautiful vally opens up below you, Greenest green etc.etc. Yes yesterdays perception was false. Stopped in Barrydale for Brunch, gee Derick is such a Gentleman, good food and price. About 15 to 20 kilo's from Robertson opposite the crushing plant there is a gravel road (Charles take note) to Elandia, good condition. Through Elandia to the T junction, left to the next T, right and keep going till you hit the tar road just below the pass. This is on the Villiersdorp Worcester road. Up Franschoek pass and home sweet home to my ever loving wife, son and Rottie. What was the trip like? Loverly. I was hoping that you 'n Tracy & Neil 'n Jane would join me on this trip, maybe next time. There is also a nice long Gravel road to this trip. Name the day. Feet on the pegs, always.

That sounds like magic, I'm in. See if you can round up a few of the others, like Neil,Johan,LMG and Corne. I stayed @ the Duck Inn,Nice and clean, hot water etc. cost R160-00 per person per night. No Breakfast or dinner but that's O K.Tel 023 5411879. If they are full contact Lazy Lizard @ 023 541 1379 and ask Caryn if she can book accomodation. Maybe a pre book is a good idea. Hi Corné, it seems this discussion has meandered through the passes towards the Eastern Cape, but I'll bring it back to Cape Town again :-) Die ou se naam op die Robertson run is Pete ... dis ek! I bought an Aerotrim from Charles Brink and am very happy with it. If I installed it again I would probably fit it half a centimeter lower, but it has significantly reduced the strain on my neck. I broke one of the perspex fittings when I fitted it but it was very easy to manufacture another out of perspex - be careful you don't overtighten the moving parts. A touch of silicon spray helps. I think it was money well spent! Cheers All Pete

If you can dream it you can do it!

Hi Pete, Thank you for the feedback. I did get into contact with Charles Brink and ordered a aerotrim, however he can only get one for me on the 7th of January 2008 :-( Happy Days :-) Corné Kloppers 0849130391 ckloppers@gmail.com
