License Disc expired?
So the other day I'm washing my bike and I happen to look at the date on my license disc just to make sure. "Donner!! 31/03/2013... that's 6 months ago!"
Now all things start going through my head like; what happened to my renewal in the post?; now I must go stand in a moerse queue and explain why and then pay penalties, etc etc
Anyway I decided to do my usual. Go online, fill in the form and wait and see what happens. Next day I get an email with a unique number & amount that needs to be paid. R312.10 no questions asked and nothing about please explain to Julius.
Two weeks later the new disc arrives in the post and the renewal date is exactly a year from now... not from March.
This online service is very effecient and I've been using it now for about 2 years. No standing in queues. You pay and it arrives!

Even easier - just phone the number on the licence renewal for, speak to person on other side - give them the registration number, they give you reference number, pay by EFT there and then quoting reference number. License disc arrives in post.
Done and done in one transaction - No having to remember to respond to the email when it arrives the next day in the middle of something else and then forgetting again etc etc

I have been using this method for years now. Also for fines. Works a treat. Have to re-boot him every so often (kick in the backside), but other than that no problems

i'll wash my bike this weekend then and see if I need to renew my license.
Agshully, s'not the standing in queues that gets me down, it's the remembering to take the form with and making the time to go that I get stuck at.
so online renewal will be my friend from now.
