I saw this on the forum at www.bmwmoa.org Question If the K1200 is so reliable, how come they don't have a GS model? Answer Same reason they don't put a Corvette motor in a dump truck, waste of a perfectly good motor. Now, as a member of the minority, I am really asking for it!! :-)

Neil, I think that should read: ALL road bike road bike riders want more power than they are capable of using! :-) There is nothing better than knowing that however much you twist the throttle, there is still more power in reserve. That's why I enjoyed the Suzuki so much! It's the same with cars. In one house where I worked I was allowed to drive a late 90's Rolls-Royce with a 6.75 ltr V8 with TWO Garret Airsearch turbo chargers which boosted up sequentially. I later worked for people who, for a period of 3 months, gave me an M5 to take the kids to school and buy groceries, but it never had the grin factor of the Rolls! After 17000km the M5 was replaced with a Daewoo Matiz... :-( Sucked!
