It seems to be a common complaint across the years.  Some people have even suggested using a particular brand of fuel to get smoother running.  I'm assuming you are not inadvertently causing feedback through your throttle hand.

My remedy on Mr.Badger (2001 1150 GS with 220k km), is to slip the clutch when riding very slowly.  Not continuous slipping, more gradual applying power then pulling in the clutch and freewheeling.

Others may have a different experience.

Thanks Charles, may have to live with it then  on my 200 000.00 bike. Thought there may have been a more scientific solution.

Thanks for the reply at least !

Dave I have exactly the same issue on mine, and I have experienced it on every LC that I have ridden.  It apparently has something to do with the closed loop catalytic converter I am told.

Thanks Ian, my old air cooled was much smoother, I do miss the old bat a bit. But we move on I suppose albeit a bit reluctantly!

Hi Dave,

Does it do it when you're in "Enduro" mode? Throttle 'jerkiness'/sensitivity is less in this mode.

Cheers,

Peter
