Hi, all!

I'm Nicholas. I moved to De Rust from Johannesburg South two-and-a-half years ago.

I'm a consulting technical writer and educational videographer by trade, and have also done time in the formal motor trade, both as a diagnostic technician and in vehicle sales.

I've been riding motorcycles since 1988, and bought my first BMW (an '00 model R1100S with OE panniers and a Van Der Linde exhaust) in 2006. Since then, I've owned (and thoroughly enjoyed):

- A streetfightered '05 K1200S.

- An '09 F800GS.

- Two different '09 R1200GS Adventures, one of which received the 17" wheels from a K1200S.

- An '06 R1200GS (briefly).

- A '10 R1200GS Adventure, which also received 17" K1200S wheels.

- A '13 R1200GS LC.

- A '10 F800GS to which I added a 17" front wheel.

- A hybrid hypermoto which is currently being built from the lower half of a '13 F800GT, and the upper half of a '12 F800GS. (I'd love to get my hands on a Husqvarna Nuda 900 engine for it, but, alas...)
