Have just spoken to BMW insurance...Sherman about putting a named rider ...René..onto my policy as he wishes to compare my bike to his. Just found out apparently I'm still paying insurance for my traded in bike!!...refund on it's way!! At same time spoke about claims/ premium...a small reduction for me!:-)

Neil 1. What were the requirements/implications for adding a named rider and how many can one add? 2. Did Sherman divulge any parameters on which they reduce premiums or was your reduction based on your enigmatic personality?

Hi Mike, can be done telephonically,...implications?....No....a few I think. Parameters: past claims history ....pink played NO part! BMW Tel....011-5417545...Press 3 when ask,... on voice recorded message system. A beer or a glass of wine if savings!!:-)

Neil Sure pink played no part? No threats like "I could always go to First For Women you know..." :) Thanks for the feedback though, sure it will benefit most.

How about the tappet covers? Ignore opinions, heed facts. Feet on the pegs, always.

Neil Not to labour the point but... Hope none of the insurance consultants are scouring this forum and happen accross your thumbnail pic. Does the BMW apparel worantee cover worn kneepads?

Mike, with Neil it might look shabby or pink on the outside but inside there are layers of tough rawhide sewn in. I agree though, that the insurers better not check this site or they might expect us all to stop shaving, brighten our tappet covers and add 5Kg of leather to all our kit! :-) ''The world needs dreamers that DO!''

René the tappet covers liven-up the landscape, and make the bike more visable. As for the thumbnail pic, that was taken on a training day organised by OUR Club..BMWMCC..at the Killarney Track.
