Visited ACME again today to look for more restorable bike bargains and saw something that tweaked my interest!

They have two HP2 Enduros on the floor, one that has had its rear end messed with and the other that as a strange front end mod, mostly cosmetic although both cylinder heads and pistons are gone, as well as the seat; probably already harvested.

BUT, I must say this bike has intrigued me ever since I saw Phillip enjoy his so much at Jurgsekaya last year!

So question is do I buy both and make one original spec bike out of them or only the one with the original frame and get its motor running again and the original head end restored?

I would say go for both.

I would go for both, too; then you could sell of certain non-needed parts to help others restore bikes THEY find that need work, since in time these bikes will become even more of a vanishing brand, since they've been discontinued, etc.

PS: there are spy shots out there of a potential NEW HP 2 (?), and IF ever launched, it tends to drive up the value of the ORIGINAL bike, this may also happen with the old Africa Twin, given that a new Africa Twin-type bike will be launched early 2016...

Cheers, Chris
