As of this morning we have 14 GS's (including 3 lady riders) joining us "off road" on our ride to Oudtshoorn. (Ian Steyn I have copied you even though you are not, at this stage, joining us off road on the way up). The plan is as follows; Meet at the Engen 1 Stop (Swartland) on the N7 around 0700 for a breakfast at the Wimpy. Please fill your bikes up here. Get together at 0750 for a quick chat about the ride then head for Wellington then Ceres via Tulbach and some dirt sections. Into Ceres for a pit stop at the Shell garage on the LHS, no need to refuel if you filled up at the 1 stop. Ceres to Matjiesfontein (dirt) then to Laingsburg (tar), refuel at the One stop on the LHS as we enter town. Depending on arrival time we may lunch here or ride on to Ladismith for lunch. If we lunch in Laingsburg I will bypass Ladismith and come on to the R62 via Seweweekkspoort on the Calitzdorp side of Ladismith. From Ladismith to Calitzdorp (tar) then to the bottom of the Swartberg Pass (dirt) then into Oudtshoorn (tar). Should be here late afternoon around 16-1700. After breakfast on Saturday morning around 0900 we will depart for "Die Hell". This will be a full days ride. Is there a possibility for the ' Helderberg Biker ' ( Andyman & Co., Olaf )to meet en route near Wellington ?

No problem Olaf. Should be in Wellington from the Durbanville side around 0830. We will turn towards Tulbach below the Golf course.

Lunch has been booked. I have arranged a light lunch as we will be having a big dinner Saturday night. Salads and a home made "pie dish" at a cost of R25PP. Drinks will be available.
