Die registrasie vir die ECO 2012 is halfpad vol bespreek binne 'n week nadat registrasie geopen het .  Don't snooze!!!!  Kom ons probeer om 'n beter verteenwoordiging uit die Wes-Kaap te kry hierdie jaar.  Om hierdie omgewing te gaan besoek, is beslis die moeite werd.  Webblad: www.gseco.org.za

Hi Anna-Marie, ek het net betyds geregistreer.  Ek weet nog nie wanneer ek gaan ry nie - dalk die 16'e of eers die 17'e, want die vorige week stap ons nog eers die Walvisroete.

Wanneer wil jy vertrek, en terugkom?  Ek kom dalk via Natal terug....

Dis goeie nuus, Du Toit.  Ek het intussen gehoor registrasie is gesluit.  Ons beplanning is om die Woendag ogg uit die Kaap te vertrek en Donderdagmiddag in Clocolan te arriveer. Ons praat nader aan die tyd ...... ek het 'n hele paar lekker planne.

Welcome to the Forum.  You are welcome to join our group.  Currently we are a small, informal group from the club (not an annual club event) and several groups from the different dealerships leaving Cape Town to Clocolan for the GS Eco Challenge 2012. Our group will ride tar all the way to the Eco. Final arrangements eg accommodation en-route, routes, rendesvouz, departure time etc. will be available closer to the date.  Contact me on 082 8991169 or send me a PM with your contact details.  Speak soon.

Thank you for all the enquiries, lately, about going to the ECO in Oct 2012.  Leaving the Western Cape for Lesotho/Eastern Free State is around the corner.

A pity Lyn cannot join us anymore, but we wish her a speedy recovery and a lot of patience.  We will ride together, soon.

The trip details, in short, will be as follows:

17/10/2012: Departure from CT, early morning.  Overnight in Colesburg @ Colesburg Lodge (we can discuss/confirm DB&B arrangements closer to the date). All tar roads

18/10/2012:  Departure Colesburg for Clocolan via Lesotho (passport needed). All tar roads

18,19,20/10/2012: ECO -Individual participation or can buddie on routes eg Katse dam, Mohales dam, off-road routes, scenic rides.

21/10/2012: Departure Clocolan (some indicated to add another few days to their trip and to visit Golden Gate and Clarens etc. Open for discussion)  Otherwise, who needs to return, we will decide on the route back, closer to the date.  A few options available.

Kms to Clocolan: ± 1300 kms

Donford & Atlantic Motorrad are also taking clients and we will probably meet up with each other en-route and at the event.

I will see some of u at the next club meeting where we can discuss our route to Clocolan.  In the meantime I will do some homework regarding our route via Lesotho (more than one option) and Neels will assist me with GPS coordinates etc.
