GO GS Go Garden Route : 19-22 APR 2019

As 2019 is kicking off with a bang  and catching up on responsibilities makes your GS feeling neglected , why not join us to the Coastline of the Garden Route for a relaxed dual ride where the smells of the ocean, ferns and dust can entertain your soul.

We are planning a 4 day/3 night trip which will take us on good gravel roads and areas you have not visited before. On Friday we need to take the "black stuff" alias tar route to our venue in Plettenberg Bay. Even on tar we will make the route interesting. Outside of Plettenberg Bay we will stay over for the 3 nights.   Rocky Road Backpackers,  a 5 hectare smallholding with entertainment area, bar, outdoor Jacuzzi  and a number of semi luxury tents set in a beautiful laid out garden. They often have outdoor fires in the evenings around which to fully enjoy good company and starry nights. This is NOT your usual backpackers fare.

On the Saturday we will have an off road out ride into the Knysna forests, 8 Passes and routes that will take your breath away.  Smelling the ferns will make u want to bottle it and take it home. We will leave after breakfast and stop en-route for pictures, nibbles and to experience nature and the BMW cameraderie. A relaxed evening around the fire, own catering, catch up on laughs and jokes will be the norm for tonight.

As a bonus we will have a “rest day” on the Sunday  for u to explore various attractions at  your leisure.  Just to tickle your taste buds:  drive out to Nature’s Valley;  visit the Tsitsikamma Village and have lunch with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley;  lunch on the deck at Kaaimans river, the Big Tree;  within 20 mins drive the world’s highest bungy jump, Knysna waterfront, Noetzie castles….just to name a few. Sundowners and snacks of your own liking at the end of this day....and more fire under the stars.

Due to our distance from home, Monday's ride will be an all tar ride back to Cape Town.  BUT it will be a different route than going to our venue on the Friday. Here we will take a coastal ride to wave goodbye to the ocean and open beaches.
