Been feeling like the bike is too big for me, and I am not as strong as I used to be.  So:

  • dig out my collection of cones from the garage
  • line them up in a long line on the middle-mannetjie of a canal service road just up my street, 3 big paces apart.
  • ride the cones up and down 3 times.

The first time through I stalled twice, nearly dropped the bike, and missed a cone.

The second time only one stall, and I was looking ahead.  A few oopsies.

The third time I cleaned it.  Doing the u-turn at either end I was almost ready to power-slide.

I will do this every second day from now on to rebuild my strength, confidence and skill on Mr.Badger.  Especially for Baviaans and the GS Trophy try-outs.

Never underestimate the power of perfecting the basics.

Wise words Charles.

We tend to get beyond ourselves with these big machines and forget about the basics.
