Hi Guys and Girls, Just want to say, I did my first long distance trip about a month ago, 870 km day one, 130km day 2, rest day 3 720 km day 4 and 250 day 5, Just under 2000km. One thing I can say is that the 650GS is not build for trips more than 4-5 hours per day. My bum was sore, but at least 3 Argus cycle trips 6 + hours each has prepared me in some sort of a way for it. Nonetheless, the odd 600km gravel road and scenery made up and it was well worth the effort. Just me, my soul and Silver. May there be many more such trips, Tony. That rest day was a very good idea. Our record stands at 5 000 km in 9 days,:) with NO rest day. :( We will do it again, but next time with longer days on the bike and every 3 to 4th day being a rest day.

My wrist was ok, but my neck and bum was a bit sore. I will create a trip report in the next day or two. "There is just something about riding a motorcycle, something I can't explain, but that it's just so good for one's soul... " Ewan Mcgregor - 2007

Next Thursday I would travel to Secunda with the RT. From my house to my dad's place is around 1650Km. I will leave Tursday morning around 02:00 and continue straight to Secunda to be there by late that afternoon. Doing it with the RT is a breeze, but I would not even do 500Km a day on a 650. Nice report.

SIES, ChristoE. :) Tony, wether it is a 650, or a bigger GS or RT, as long as you enjoy the ride. May you have many more long trips.

Ek stem saam, die 650 is 'n bakgat fiets. Ongelukkig het hy my na so 'n langerige trip letterlik pyn in die gat gegee. Ek was nou al omtrent deur alles.
