First Fossil ride for the year 2018
Last year we had our first fossil ride to Du Toits Kloof where we had our own prepared brekkies. I tried to have a longer ride at the end of the year but due to all the scheduled vacations this was a bad call.
Now I am trying to put together a ride over 2 days for the fossils who can afford to stay over for one night away from loved ones without problems or who has the guts and money to say>>>>>f&^%K the rest, I am taking this on.
The plan is to leave from the ENGEN N1 outbound Kraaifontein on Thursday 15/Febr 2018 at 09.00. (fuled with gas and coffee) From there we will be riding N1 up to half way before Touws River and then on the KOO VALLEY road to Barrydale, and via the Aan The Tredoux Pass, turn rigt just before Barrydale , via the Tradoux Pass to Swellendam. We can refuel at Swellendam and then set for Bredasdorp,Napier and to Baardskeerdersbos(also known as B BOS) for a brekkie of a lifetime at the famous MARIETJIES Restaurant .come hungry.
From there I have an option of taking only 5 guys with me for an overnight sleepover at a B+B at a rate of R150 for the night. This will however only include your bed (sharing a room with another snorer) bedding and a towel. Shower included.
The evening we will have to entertain ourselves with wet stuff and things to braai. Wood will be supplied.Spar meat supplies available close by as well as watering holes. I can accommodate 6 people at the guesthouse but have already booked 2 together with me. If we must and a lady can gedra herself, we might be able to accommodate a lady with her partner.
If our group are going to be to big ,you will have to source you own owernight sleep as this is not a club arranged ride but a members arranged ride. Us overnighters from Franskraal will then depart bak home on friday via Hermanus and different route home.
I have already paid the flat rate of 900 stompe for the night's sleep. So if you are interested to join me for the night to secure your place. please phone me on 082five one 5 00 nine two. only 5 places available. 1st paid 1st served.

I Forgot to say. This ride is open for every bike rider. Fromm HD"s KTM"s VUKA HONDA SUZIES etc. As long as you come to enjoy riding with us.

All welcome to join the ride but you will have to arrange your own accommodation or ride home after the Brekkie. Please let me know if you will be joining the Brekkie.

Last sleepover spot at my arranged place taken. Anybody else who wants to join the trip is welcome but will either have to ride home the same day or arrange your own overnight stay.

The 6 sleepers have now been booked at the Franskraal venue at R150.00 p/p for the night. I will collect your dues at the departure point to be able to pay my fuel. HaHaHa
Safe parking,. All you will need is your toiletries/excluding towel , and your food which we will go and buy in Gansbaai. The landlord will supply the rooikrans and all the cutlery but we wil have to leave the house clean as we found it. If you have music, bring it along.
Anyone else still wanting to join in is welcome but you will have to make you own overnight arrangements.
Just be aware that this is not a club organized ride and is for everybody's owm personal responsibility.You will be in command of yourself.

This ride is now closed. We will only be six Fossils leaving on 15/02/2018 at 08.30 from the N1 Engen near Klapmuts. Fueled and tyres pumped. I have paid the fees for the overnight venue @ R150.00 p.p. which you all can please refund me at the departure. From there we will be going over Du Toitskloof, via Worcester ,De Doorns and halfway to Touwsriver where we will then take the KOO VALLEY road to MONTAGUE, and BARRYDALE, where we will turn onto the TREDOUX PASS to SWELLENDAM, BREDASDORP, ELIM and then to BAARDSKEERDERSBOS where we will be enjoying the famous breakfast at MARIETJIE"S Restaurant. After the brekkie, we will be stocking up for the night in Gansbaai and then return to our friendly guests Jacques and Elba TREDOUX at their 8 sleeper fully equipped guest house with ample safe parking and braai area for the night in FRANSKRAAL. Future bookings must be done directly with ELBA. 0823512304.
All you need to bring extra is your toiletries and an extra towel if you would like to go and take a swim in the sea close by. Bring some mozzy repellant as well.
Next morning coffee on the house before departure back home.
We will discuss the way home to please everyone.
