Eric Pretorius Down
Hi All
My father-in -law Eric Pretorius had an accident on Thursday morning. It is believed he had a heart attack (while riding to meet friends for a 3 day trip), then rode into the back of someone vehicle.
He is currently in ICU At N1. He has a broken pelvis, has had a stent inserted and they are trying to get his kidneys working.
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers please.

Trust Eric will make a full and speedy recovery.
Eric is still in ICU,
Visiting hours are 15H00 to 16H00
and again at 19H15 to 18H00.
He is medicated and sedated, but quite compos mentis.
He would welcome visitors.
It is very tedious and tiresome lying prone and in discomfort.
Our thoughts are with him and kym.
Eric came off luckier than some, however ti will be a new year before he takes to biking again.
Eric has been a great moto-marshal on many events, fun to have on a tour and great for safety.
Looking forward to seeing him hale and hearty once again soon.

Update :
Eric is doing well. His kidneys are working as before and he has had an opp to fix the pelvis(hip joint area). He is pushing himself to heal and get mobile as soon as possible and is now able to shuffle assisted about 8-10 meters.
He would love any visitors that would like to come visit, as there is only so much you can watch, count or say to the same nursing staff. He is in ward C at N1 City Netcare hospital. "Official" Visiting hours as Andy listed above with correction of 19H15 -20H00.
He also has his phone if you want to SMS, Whats App or try call (can't promise he will answer, on account of him doing laps around the ward)

Hi All.
Just a short update on Eric. I visited him last night. He has now been moved to the Inter Care facility it the North East corner at the Tygervalley shopping Centre. Reddish round brick building. He is on the 5th floor in room M. You need to take the lifts as you enter the building. Visiting hrs are daily from 14:00-16:00 and the again from 18:00 to 20:00.
Eric is still in a lot of pain but in hi spirit and talking just as much as always. So, he is doing better day by day. He sends his regards to everyone and will welcome your visits.
Keep him and Kym in your prayers for his speedy recovery.
