Morning all, With all the new members signing up and many new GS riders in the Club as well as the great strides the ladies are making with their off road training I am putting together a ride to Malmsbury this Sunday 29th March. This ride will be ideal for those of you who are looking for a nice easy (slowish) ride to build your confidence and for those whose partners want to come along but are scared to do so in case the group rides to fast. Round trip about 160kms. My 7 year old daughter will be pillioning with me. Depending on time we will again do some easy dirt on the way home! The ride will leave from The Engen in Plattekloof (normal breakfast run departure point) and I will confirm all these details nearer the time. Cost of lunch R60 per person. Interested? Please send me an e mail to russell@aroma.co.za and I will place you on the list. Geoff 0828078130

Great thanks Geoff , I will also e-mail our ladies group , and thanks for offering to look after the ladies . Some of us will be at the Cederberg Dual Festival, so will not make the ride , but will meet you there at Eendekuil for lunch and ride back with you :) ( will let you know numbers soon ) ''"4 wheels move the body,'' ''2 wheels move the soul"''

The organisers of the Clanwilliam Dual festival are going to advertise the Eendekuil as a lunch stop at Sunday as Eendekuil is one of the sponsers, watch your numbers and theirs, trafic may be high! Do it today, maybe there is no tomorrow! Rony Desodt

11 riders so far of which 3 are ladies. Route looks to be around 160kms long. Depending on how the group does I may stretch it a bit. Still space for a few more. Geoff

24 bikes and 26 people greeted me at the meeting place in Plattekloof where I was roasted for being a few minutes later than promised. I had valid reasons in that I forgot my glasses at home and was stung by a bee on the way to the start. I thought it was a valid reason anyway. The ride turned out to a really great beginners trip and we did 210 kms to Malmesbury of which around 130 kms was dirt. We also had a lady rider on her first dirt road ride. She rode like a star. We had no incidents on route thank heavens and I was able to keep up a steady 80kph allowing the beginners to ride a steady 60kph. Thanks to you all for making the ride so easy and enjoyable for me! The only gripe I got was that some people did not wait for others at intersections forcing Hennie to "spoor sny" from time to time. Straf dop for the person who did not wait. We had 5 ladies on the ride hopefully more will be able to make the next one. Till then, ride safe!

Hi Geoff Thanks for taking the time and putting in so much effort, great ride. Belinda said she had a great time and feels confident back on the gravel after a long layoff.
