Okay, So when I see a donkey Kar, I generally slack off a lot and more often than not stop for a chat.

Such interesting folk.

and here I wait for the Kar to reach me.

The Auntie holding the reigns gives me the friendliest toothless grin and greeting.

I greet her and her family and we chat.

What makes this story precious and worth re-telling is not that Valentein(L) and Springfeld (R) have been spanned together on the family Kar for many many years.

Nor that they are stopping to visit socially all the vrinne on their way from the OK in De Rust to home,

nor that they are just simply nice, simple folk.

It is the huge difference in paradygm between them and me.

Or "us" people from the modern world.

I ask whither she ventures and from where and she tells me she's a weekly shopping from the OK in De Rust.

I asks if she always goes by cart n donkey, to which she replies.

"nee Menieer, gewoonlik vat ek teksi soontoe en terug, maar dis Paasnaweek ennie kinders will saam.

"Toe se ek vir hulle, 'dis te duur virrie teksi, ons sal maar die kar vat'"

"En toe gaan span die kinders die kar maar in."

Her reference to 'Lets go by car", and ours is just simply gallaxies apart.

We we had a chat and then off we went.

I wish I'd had the foresight to load up with marshmellow Easter Eggs.

Andyman.

Yup that's me, the one standing up in the traffic
