Dakar Cooling fan

Hi all, After a service at the BMW agent in S/bosch, I was told that the fan motor of my bike is not turning fast enough. Tested it today and compared it with a friend's bike of simmular model. Mine is definately "weaker". Is their anybody that had a simular experience and is the only remedy (as told) to replace the fan motor. What may by the cause? The price of the fan is more than its weight in gold !!! Luckily no overheating problems to date - Needs to be fixed before GSC in Sept. = sand!! Hope to hear from you Jaco

The speed of a DC motor is directly related to the volts. Check if the motor does receive 12V, if so then the bearings or bushes are "sticky". I think these motors are sealed units which means if the volts are correct - new motor. Weet jy waarvoor staan GS? Geen Sand :)
