Following on the incredible success of last years tour and numerous requests for one this year the preparations have begun for the '09 Coast to Karoo or will it be Karoo to Coast Tour. All depends on the availability of bookings! Below is the itinerary of the 2008 Tour to give an idea of what to expect. Own expense. Our overnight stay is at the Herberg Hotel and Dinner & Breakfast are included. Please report to reception on arrival. Drinks etc are for your own account. Friday 2nd May: After breakfast (I will confirm the time) we depart for Oudtshoorn via the back roads and a very beautiful drive into Stilbaai along the River. We will stop on route for lunch (own expense). On arrival in Oudtshoorn we all book into Kleinplasie on a B&B basis. Please report to reception to collect your keys and settle into your accommodation. We are all eating at La Dolce Vita Restaurant (own expense) in town at 1900, our Wines for this evening are very kindly sponsored by Kango Wines of Oudtshoorn. Other drinks are for your own expense. Saturday 3rd May: After breakfast (I will confirm the time) we leave Oudtshoorn via the Swartberg pass heading for Sutherland. We will stop on route for lunch (own expense). Due to our group size I have had to split the accommodation in Sutherland, the following are staying at Kumbro Kind on a B&B basis. Their reception is in the main road of Sutherland please report there on your arrival. We will all be enjoying dinner with the new owners of the Jupiter Restaurant at 1900 where a cash bar will be available. This dinner is included in your price. Remember Sutherland can be very cold, you have been warned. It was minus 2 degrees last night. On Sunday morning after breakfast (I will confirm time) we will start heading back towards CT with a stop on route for lunch (own expense). Please note the following: Lunches may not all be at restaurants due to our route. Some may be at 1 Stops, cafe's etc. If you have any queries please advise me immediately.
