We spent two glorious nights with Gerrit and Chantel at there little "Oasis" in the Cederberg. From camping to accommodation, food to drinks, all with a friendly smile. Not to mention the "honesty" bar and cafe.........."Honesty" I hear you ask? Yes exactly that. You walk into the pub/cafe help yourself, write down on a piece of paper what you took/had and when you leave they add it up and you pay. Fantastic old style service. Gerrit has been around the Cederberg for 26 or so years so you can ask and find out any and everything about the area from him. Accommodation is clean and inexpensive, food is great from their famous R120 (800g) T Bone to their delicious hamburgers you should not be disappointed. Oh, don't forget there very nice swimming pool just the thing for your hot Cederberg days & nights. Kids welcome! Oh, and they love bikers (especially BMW ones!!) Pop in for a beer or a stay I doubt you will be disappointed!! 2.5 hours from Cape Town! Just the spot for a lekker weekend away!! Tell him you are a Club member and he will keep you occupied for ages!! http://www.cederbergoasis.co.za/

I can vouch for what Geoff said about the Cederberg Oasis. I spent a weekend there in May, and even though the nights were cold, the fireplace more than compensated. There are great rides from there to Wuppertal and surrounds. Take note of the photo's, especially of the one taken of the leopard standing at the sign at the entrance to the "Oasis". Buddy Out there where we all belong.

Stem, I've stopped there many a time, sometimes in the Landy, once in the '48 Willys and then on the bikes. We saw a snake there as well once. But it's a lekker place to stop for a cold one and a bite to eat. Andyman Yup that's me. Standing up in the traffic on the 1150GSA.

Awesome place the Oasis! 6 of us spent the night there after a hot day in the dust. Food was good & the beer was cold. Gwyn Ne obliviscaris (forget not)
