Just a reminder and the ride brief.

Meet at the Plattekloof Pick n Pay, the new breakfast run meeting point for an 07h30 departure. Everything you need to know will be discussed at the meeting point. The map to the meeting point and other information on what to bring is at these links:

Ride Captain: Max Lange, 084 8009292

Ride: Greyton; Abbey Rose

Brief

As we approach summer and the route is nearly 200km we will depart a little earlier than usual at 07:30am.

The route will take us to Greyton via Franschoek including Helshoogte and the Franschoek pass. Initially the route will follow the N1 until we branch off at the Stellenbosch turnoff right from the N1 onto the R304. After 6.5 km turn left proceed for 3.5km (Kromme Rhee) and join the R44 towards Stellenbosch. Then left onto Helshoogte (R310) and continue towards Franschoek on the R45.

We will re-group as and when required, depending on the size of the group, however we will regroup after every pass.

Please take it easy over the passes and faster riders only overtake on the right. Slower riders please be aware, hold your line where required but allow faster riders to pass easily over the passes.

From Franschoek we will make our way towards Villiersdorp and turning right onto the R43 towards the N2, follow the N2 for approximately 10km then make a left towards Greyton on the R406.

We will stop for Breakfast at the Abbey Rose in Greyton

Distance to venue is approximately 185km

Estimated ride time is approximately 2.5 hours
