By hook and by crook I’ve succeeded in finding riding gear that more or less fit me. The only thing that is still missing is a pair of riding boots. It seems as if Alpinestars Tech-3 is the only boots that are available in size 15. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a size 15 Alpinestars Tech-3 in the Cape Town area? I’m flying to the States in two weeks time and it is possible to buy it in New York. However, I don’t really want to travel with the stiff and it will be much easier to buy it in SA.

Hi Abel, try KTM in Paarden Eiland 021-5117966 or 021-5117969 as I saw they had Alpinestars, recently.

Neil, I'm sure the question in everyone's mind is "what were you doing at KTM??" ;o) Abel, check with Amanda at KTM if she can get the Dainese boots in your size. If you havent already got the Tech-3's. Buddy Out there where we all belong.

Well, I was thinking of painting Rommel orange, seeing that Neil had pink tappet covers, and needed to get the paint code from them, but then decided that I preferred Rommel dressed in Afrika Korps yellow! Actually they used to own Ducati Cape Town, and I just happened to own a Ducati a long time ago, and they still employ the best espresso coffee-maker in Cape Town, so I pop in for a cup occasionally to tell them how well Rommel is running. Buddy Out there where we all belong.

Buddy I think an orange GS would look good, possibly with black tappet covers, come-on a little cross- dressing won't hurt.:-)

Neil, That really appeals to my sense of humour, but can you imagine the confused looks I'd get from both BMW and KTM riders - I really don't want to be responsible for a trail of accidents when I'm out riding, along with the whiplash caused to those that remain upright. Gonas! Imagine the mayhem if we both were on the road together. Hee-hee! By the way Abel, did you have any joy with the boots?? Buddy Out there where we all belong.
