Hi Fellow Riders and Pillions

Please help this poor soul.

I bought a navigator V for my RT.

I can adjust the navigation voice volume and the media player volume in the Audio mixer. Fine. No problem.

The phone volume in my earphone stays overwhelmingly loud no matter what.

I do know how to adjust the volume when the phone ring but i do not every time want to do that.

Music, navigation and phone volume must be more or less adjustable to the same level with the Audio Mixer?

Please help.

Regards

Hi,

Have you tried adjusting the volume on your headset?

Hi Andy

Thank you for responding.

Yes i have tried to adjust the headset volume.

The result is the master volume of the navigator being adjusted.

Music playback volume is to soft if i adjust the master volume for an acceptable phone volume.

In the master volume i am able to adjust both navigation and music volume but not the volume for the phone.

I want a smooth transition from music to navigation to phone which i cannot achieve.

Regards

I have a similar issue with my Sena headset and my Samsung phone.  When the headset volume is set acceptibly for headset commands and phone volume, the music volume from the phone is too soft.  Every morning when I first start on the bike, I need to turn on the music and manually set the phone music playback volume to max (and click OK on the warning about playing music too loud making you deaf).

Perhaps it is just stupigheid in your phone (like mine)?

Nope. No phone "stupigheid"

Took my toys to BMW this afternoon.

They tried to sort it out. No luck.

Did a test run on another Navigator V.

Exactly the same result.

BMW will come back to me before Friday afternoon.

Keep my fingers crossed.

RT regards.

Hi Dirk,

I also have the Nav V with BMW headset , i have a similar gripe, music is very soft but Nav directions are super loud, telephone seems to be ok with my I-phone 7 . Can i set the music up louder & the Nav directions softer at the same time & "save" the settings like that ? Would this setting then be done on the Gps ? My system also sometimes tells me that it can only play music back with a headset, although it has already told me that the headset is communicating with the Gps ?

There is a weird delay before Media Player becomes available fully after first startup.

I often also have to turn my headset off and back on otherwise it has this weird "lag" thing as if music is playing very slowly and looping.

Usually I just switch BT headset on and then wait a good 30 seconds before trying to play music. Sometimes you hear this "click" and then you know it's ready.

If my headset just supported Siri would have much preferred to play music directly from the phone instead.

You can try to increase the media volume on the phone itself. That works on my Packtalk.

Funny my problem is the opposite.

Phone volume is way too low compared to everything else.

What phone are you using? Maybe that's the differentiator? iPhone over here.
