Hi

I am currently in the market to buy a Dual purpose helmet as I commute daily with my HJC full face but holiday season is coming and will be doing a longer trip to Garden Route and Karoo with some gravel roads.

I am interested in the new BMW GS dual purpose helmet but would like to know if anyone have some feedback or personal experience with this helmet. My other choice is to go for the Arai X4 Tour.

Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Kurt

Kurt,

I do a fair bit of riding........and possibly a bit more than the average rider.

Just bought another System 6.

The first one is about 5 years old (more my wife says) and is still in perfect condition. It has never given my any hassles but for the occasional "visor" replacement.

I recommend them highly.

Kurt,

I have a GS Enduro Helmet - it's one of the better helmets I've ever ridden with. Before that it was Arai road helmets.

Try both on - take them on and off a few times and see which one feels good for you. You won't go wrong with either of your options.

Happy Riding!

Thanks Geoff, I have never tried the flip-up helmets but going to do so today at Donford and make my choice.

Hi Kurt,

I've been riding with the BMW GS helmet for 3 months now and I’m very happy with the helmet.

I upgraded from an AGV EVO AX8 and the GS helmet is definitely quieter and much lighter.
