Messge from event organisers- Thanks very much for the stirling work done  by bike marshals.

The last road race before the Pick n Pay Cape Argus Cycle tour was on Sunday 16th February.

The next event is the 4 day event in the first week of March.

Followed by the Argus.

Then the autumn series starts.

Todays event- Tour de Medallion was huge.

Huge and hot.

Once again, ther BMW bike marshals showed their resourcefulness in copying witht eh  circumstances and getting on with the job.

The extra shephearding on the R45 to Groot Draklenbtstein was really very much appreciated with great feedback from provincial traffic officers and riders. The job done was vital and the reassurance given to riders and traffic was much appreciated.

Thanks guys you realy make the club proud.

tough day for many of the riders, especially the funriders still out on the road after 10.

The race was called off as temperatures soared to above 40C.

Don't know about you guys, but I loved it, first time some of the cyclists said thanks and didn't moan! Heat was " bearable" but other than that a great day!

The only problem with hindsight, is you don't see it coming!

That is a closed circuit race and therefor they do not require bike marshals for the safety of cyclists.

Thanks for brining this up.
