THE ROUGH AND READY BAVIAANSKLOOF TRIP 2009 Here than the update on our trip. Note the price change due to some sponsership! As you now already know “Rough and Ready” (Rony and Daniel) are putting on a weekend trip to the Baviaanskloof with Easter 2009. (Note that Daniel is NELSON CREEK GS skill champion for 2009) Also Russel Rathbone who won the GSA class 2008 and Rony the 2008 Matroosberg champion are on the trip so plenty of free training on offer! BaviaansBaviaans We are leaving Thursday the 9th in the afternoon to a camp place in Prince Albert and ride Friday the 10th to Baviaanskloof where we will camp again, the route to and from baviaans will be easy gravel but through very nice Karoo land, on arival we will ride one of the routes on the farm! Saturday the 11th and Sunday 12th we ride in and around the kloof on various routes, these will vary from green, dark green, orange, pink to red and you can pick the routes as they fit your skill level, several leaders and sweepers are going to assist. Monday 13 April we return home. Remember this is a “Rough and Ready” trip, so no luxuries unless you are willing to cart them around on your bike! There will be a “back up vehicle” but that is exactly what it is, NOT a support vehicle!!!!!! We are pulling the club trailer for emergencies! EmergencyEmergency It’s a camping trip so you bring everything you need, tent, matress, pillow, chair, cooking and eating uitensels, mug, glass, dop and anything else but dinner and breakfast! Remember once in the Baviaanskloof you do not take your camping gear on any route till Monday mornings return trip. We will have ice in the bakkie! And space for the odd cold one! Meals work like this; Breakfast will be provided in the form of some cerials and or rusks, we will organise boiling water, milk and instand coffee. Lunch and afternoon tea, all for your account, the route is so that we will pass enough establishments to have a bite and move on. Dinners! “Rough and Ready” have steak every night but I will try my best to vary it once or twice! On a more serious note, dinner will be organised but remember no luxuries it will be basic, a braai, vegies and bread! They say however that I know my fillet! OepsOeps I have now booked the camp sites and need to pay deposits to confirm our places, I have taken the liberty to assume 15 to 20 bikes and a few pillions and that is exactly how it has panned out! I need the moneys by end February, pplease. Cost for accomodation and the use of the 4x4 routes including four dinners and four breakfast will be R800.00 for the rider and R500.00 for the pillion all other costs are for the individual. Up and awayUp and away Obviously anyone can come along but: The first 20 people to deposit the above moneys are in! Please transfer the moneys to the account below! Just mention your name and baviaans! We will have a pre trip briefing where we will get to know each other! Pay before 1 March 2009 RCG Desodt Check account Standard bank-Wellington Branch 05-07-10-46 Account 07 222 1046 We have so far interested and depending on deposits a nice bunch together! It looks like my bike in the water, but I can assure one and all its not. Lucy has NEVER been dropped in water, mainly because I hate getting wet in my gear. Looking forward to the ride through "Die Poort". It was spectacular the last time we where there!!!! Lets Ride!!!

I don't think so: Bester Els won the GSA division, Andy Connell came second, and I came third. I know because Russell '''still''' can't believe that I beat him ;-) Website Administrator [http://honeybadger.net Honey Badger IT Services]
