Baviaans and around!

Ok, last night was a great final meeting for 2008! It’s however now that we have to plan next year’s rides! So with a beer in hand this was decided!
“Rough and Ready” are putting on an Easter weekend trip to the Baviaanskloof,
Leaving late Thursday the 9th and riding Friday 10, Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 April 2009.
We would camp in the baviaans from Friday onwards and ride all the routes available around there ( and there are a lot of tracks leading to and from ) during the weekend, ok, also the kloof!
Remember this is a “Rough and Ready” trip, so no luxuries unless you are willing to cart them around on your bike! No back up vehicle!
I am in the process of booking the camp site and need some numbers to confirm, I have taken the liberty to assume 10 to 15 bikes!
The route to and from baviaans is easy gravel and once there you can decide what you like to ride, Red, Pink (for Neil) or Orange, sorry gaan sukkel om groen te kry!
Cost before hand would be the camping and thereafter its all for your account, remember it’s cheap, rough and ready!

I assume my name is on the list. If this is incorrect make sure you add it to the list. How would you be able to do that trip without your backup/wingman?
Rony all I'm worried about is how we going to pack enough steak, red wine and beer for this trip? Does this mean I need to use my big blue bag for a change?
Rony you better add the trip report from the last one we did so that the others know what to expect!!!

You mean it looks like there might be people willing to ride with us. I'm astounded never thought that would happen. You did tell them we wear pink scarfs and get funny looks from all the "boere" in the Eastern Cape.
I think I should post the warning message.

Pete hattingh at Speekhout (camping R45.00pp /night will lay in beer, steak, whatever if you phone him in advance to arrange.
He will also keep stuff cool.

Count me in.I am also willing to take the back up vehicle if you guyes need a very capable vehicle,but I dont have a trailer.It will be no problem to tow one if you need.

Sitting now on 17 bikes and 2 pillions. We are now taking a backup vechicle with passenger and trailer. The backup vechicle is exactly that, it does not transport any luxuries, only a coolerbox for in case! Getting better every day!

Best is to ask Rony. I think we are entering from Willowmore's side. We camping outside of the reserve so its not that far into Baviaans.
I could be wrong, have not spoken to Rony about this trip in a while.
