I had one. Somewhere. Problem is I can't find it. Snapped my clutch lever somewhere off Nuwekloof Pass. Managed to ride back to Cape Town. But riding the bike to my mechanic during the week may be a bit scarier. Does anyone therefore have an old (2001) 650 GS clutch lever (they don't come with the fancy dial) for sale/pick-up this weekend. I'd like to try fix my bike before Monday. Come to that, anyone have tips on how to install a clutch lever?

I should have one somewhere from my son's 2006 650 Dakar that might be compatible. I need to scratch around and see where I put it.
As far as fitting, I have the manual in pdf form that describes how to change it.
If you want you can PM me your number and I will contact you in the morning when i have had a look.
I am in Tview.
Hi Mervyn
Thanks for the offer. I've sent my number via PM. Having a look at online OEM parts manuals, I suspect that the lever might not be a match if it's from a Dakar from 2004 onwards, but perhaps you can send me a picture. The lever with a dial on top won't fit. If it's a plain one, then it should work. I'm also in Table View during the weekend. I have the digital 650 manual.
Thanks again,
Zanie

No worries, but thanks for the offer. Bike has been serviced. I now have a spare brake and clutch lever and Andrew (Kingtek) has shown me how to replace them. I'll not leave home without them again. The one trip I forgot my spare clutch lever at home...
