We recently stayed for a few days at Sommerso Guest Farm in Prince Albert and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guest farm has four individual and well-equipped self-catering units ranging from a four-bedroom house to units consisting of one bedroom each. (http://www.sommerso.co.za/Home.html)

Somerso is a working farm where fruit and vegetables are cultivated. The owners, Henta and Dareen Engelbrecht, went out of their way to make us feel at home and even made the fresh, organically grown fruit and veggies from the farm available to us to supplement the tasty Karoo lamb that we bought from the local butchery.

The farm is located on the outskirts of the town and an easy walk to the town centre. Accommodation is ideal for the couple who wants to get away from it all, to groups looking for a number of bedrooms in one place to stay when exploring this part of the Karoo, including the Swartberg Pass, Gamkas Kloof (‘Die Hel’) and Meirings poort, to mention a few highlights.

 Highly recommended!
