Accelerator module ?

Can anyone advise whether it is a good idea to fit an accelerator module ?

West Coast Parts supply them and it is claimed that after installation the benefits are - increased power, better reaction time, decreased engine 'knock' (I have the 06 GS1200), etc.

Apparently it 'fools' the bike into believing that the temp is 20 deg cooler and so the mixture is not as lean ?

I used one on my 2011 DOHC 1200GSA and despite the GS-911 displaying the "Intake air temperature" at -1°C there was absolutely no difference whatsoever. The HUD temperature at the time was 14°C. The bike still pinged, knocked, pre-ignited and detonated.
