Hello Forumites

i might be able to get hold of a 650X Challenge for a project rebuild and looking for some advice; Anything I should be aware of or to look out for?

Thanks!

the air shock is not everyone's cup of tea, be aware that you may wish to replace it with a shock/spring combo, and there are plenty of people who have done this mod, and there are people in CT who would do it for you, affordably, even better if the bike has already had this mod done.

(the reason is that the air shock changes its parameters as it warms up, etc)

if you wish to do longer rides, you will need to think about fuel range, and / or add take along extra fuel.

you may wish to consider adding a screen in time, I like it WITHOUT the screen, but your needs may differ.

the header pipe is VERY exposed, I burnt my trousers whilst test-rididng one, may be worth wrapping it with heat-resistant tape, or putting a shield on it.

Cheers

Chris
