This wasn't a club tour, but we followed the same route as the 2011 Club Tour to Namibia.

where's the rest?

PS that first pic brings back memories of a day filled with "offs".

Our experience is to ride from Aus to arrive in Luderitz before 08-00 to prevent you and your bike from being sand blasted. Also give the Oblix guest house a try, Norbet the owner is a 1200 G S rider and does a good deal. Accomodation was good, clean and the food was good.

Think before you ink.

Trust is the most valuable asset.

She's got a sense of humour too Adrian.  When I saw her I said "Ah the lady with the balls" and she laughed and said "Yes ... chocolate ones".

Cheerful bunch in that place.

For some reason, people just cannot get it into their heads that images will not paste from Word.  Into any Web system.  Ever.  An MS word document is not an HTML document, and the images in the document need to be loaded onto the server separately.

The PDF is no better - it is like a big image, that cannot be displayed on the web and needs to be attached.

I can only assume, Pete, that you are making the PDFs for some other reason that putting the trip report up on this site.  Because if you are creating the PDFs just for this site then please stop.

Why not just type in the trip report in the trip report page directly, and upload your images right here?

Because resizing the images and posting them one at a time  take all day, while using the drag and drop features of word processors and saving to .pdf takes a few minutes.

Also making a .pdf is just a different save format (save as) no no effort at all and I can post TONS of images at a fraction of the size - just over 1Mb for the WHOLE page!

I really don't have time to upload all the pictures onto the forum one by one; I had the same problem last time when Stan got penalised for his trip report when I posted it with links to Picasa; at least this way all the pics are on the forum.
