Reflecting on the year that's (almost) been, as one does on the 31st of December every year.

What a great year of riding it's been. Thanks to everyone on the club comittee for organising the incredible number of unforgetable events throughout the year - breakfast runs, half day rides for beginners, short day trips, weekend trips, multi-day tours, track and offroad training, DIY training in the quarry, bike maintenance and repair mornings, 1st aid training, social events - what a choice!

Thanks also to everyone that came along on the trips, especially the ride leaders, sweepers and backup vehicle drivers. I enjoyed the company and had a blast! Hope you did too.

Here's my 2001 trip timeline (seeing as timelines are so very PC this year):

E.Cape tour, Stanford, quarry, Paarl, Oasis, Wilderness (on my own), quarry, Greyton, Agterklip, Engelseman se Berge, Eendekuil, Mystery trip, Franschhoek, Sutherland, Elim, Hopefield, All Passes, Middelpos (with  mates), Gamkaskloof, Buffelspoort. There were also a couple of track days, bike workshop days, a 1st Aid course, club lunch and club meetings to ensure the calendar was well balanced.

That's 38 club events, over 40 days of fun and about 15,000km of riding! And I probably only did a fraction of the rides on the calendar Wink.

I certainly got value for my subs in 2011, did you?

So, only one question remains ... where are we going in 2012?

As not a great writer I echo your words for 2011. For 2012 we already have the trips organised by Geoff, the overseas trip by Ian and Geoff, schedule breakfast runs by Max and some trips by Warren. Think there are lots more to come. They have just not been put on paper yet.

Wishing all a prosperous new year.

to answer Smile, it's a rhetorical question!
