2007 GSA ABS PUMP
HI Guys.... been a while. I need some info,advise or a direction to go in. My 2007 GSA ABS just stopped working. Took it to BMW and the techie there says its the pump. Well needless to say R 27000.00 not in my budget for a new one. Is there anyone that might know of an expert out there that could sort this out without me having to sell of a section of my house. I converted to conventional braking for the time being but i do miss the ABS........

I'm confused. You can only miss it if you use it a lot. If you use it a lot there is something very wrong. Let me put it this way - the California Highway Patrol standing orders requires officers to submit an incident report every time that ABS is used - it should obviously only be invoked in exceptional circumstances.
Let me count: 2. In the last 6 years of daily commuting I have deployed ABS just twice, and in both cases if I had not had ABS the outcome would have been just as good.
Tests have shown that an experienced or properly trained rider can outbrake ABS in most cases.
