Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

This is an invitation to those that feel like a DAY TAR ride on this upcoming public holiday...to escape from the hussle and bussle of the city life...in and out on the same day...to be back before the peak traffic starts.

If you need some fresh air in the countryside, come and join us for a scenic ride.  Feel the fresh winter air on your skin, take deep breaths and appreciate the route.

We will meet:  ENGEN, N1 Winelands,  outgoing

Meeting Time: from 07:30 (for coffee and/or breakfast)  For your OWN account.  It is recommended that you have something to fill your tummy.  

Briefing will be at 08:30

We will leave at 08:45

The route will take us over Du Toitskloof Pass, Worcester to De Doorns, the KOO valley and Montagu. Some mountain passes en-route to keep the adrenalin going.

Lunch will be in Montagu (for your OWN account).  Depending on the numbers for the ride, we will book a restaurant in time.

After lunch we will  head home via Ashton and Robertson with the possibility of a detour.

This will not be a fast ala John Carr ride, but those who feel the need to accelerate in the passes, will be free to do so.  It is definately a pillion friendly ride.

Craig Cauvin, our new ride leader, accompanied by myself will  host you on this outing.

The ride is open to all sizes and road bikes welcome.
