Hi there, Bike: 2004 model 1200GS with standard screen My problem : Vibration at certain RPM noted at the swivel point i.s. the fixture point of the screen to the bike situated above the headlight fitting. The swivel point is fixed to the screen with two small screws - this is not the problem. There is play on the swivel point itself, i.s two end fittings on a small piece of roundbar. Any advice how to fix this? I was thinking of filling it with silicon - the stretch should be enough to still enable the swivel movement needed to adjust the screen? Regards

Check and see if one of the two is not broken, or worn, if so replace, and note, one is LH the other RH, they are mirror, not identical. Otherwise try a little tape around them, or use a hammer and try making the round section oval...tighter fit, this may/not work!:-) Good luck.

You need two small O-Rings to fit on the Pivit point. The early models came without that. The O-Rings will solve the problem.

Thanks for your response - will dismantle over the week-end and try and fix. This has been a "slight" frustration since I got the bike a year ago. regards

Well, the two o-rings did the job! Thanks for the advice. (Got them from Midas.)
