Both the front and back rim- Thanks to the Wuppertal - have dents in them. You can see the slight flattening with the naked eye and the vibrations at 140 confirm it needs attention. Any one any good solid ideas on how to press, roll or knock out the indent? There is no garage in Cpt that can do this to an outside-spoked wheel like our tubeless GS 1150's & 1200's. Any help/ideas welcomed Andyman The one you always see standing up in the traffic

Hey, this is supposed to be a intermediate course, not advanced. I am going and it scares me to think that I must be on a course with people as "advanced" as JdJ and GR. Kobus Dream like you will live forever, live like you're going to die tomorrow

Andy if they can`t help get back to me I know of other options, also NB! THE Front Wheel on R1200GS is Direction Specific ie the LHS of Hub is Set to LHS of Rim, if they were to strip wheel apart straighten then reassemble inverting the Hub it will not fit; suggest Pre-mark a side with a koki pen! I don`t know, but assume that this applies to the Rear wheel as well AND ALSO to the 1150GS. Best of luck.

Hi Andy, what happened with your dented rims?

Neil, I removed both tyres from the rims, and bolted a jig to my workbench, this had a profile of the 19" rim. I then sat the upright wheel rim in the jig and using a G-clamp over the dented part 'screwed' it dound into the jig, thus removing 85% of the dent. However, the rims have flared when denting and I cannot bring the flared rim back in line with my gear. But at least the vibration is gone Andyman Yup that's me.
