My Cylinder Head Protectors disappeared off my bike - both sides!

Does anyone have a spare set that will fit an 1150 GSA that I can purchase?

Ask Chris Grinton when his order will arrive from the UK.

I think the wind blew them off when I was taking a short cut across some open veld that seems to have particularly hard ground.

I did notice (at about 60Km/h) that some idiot had put wooden barrier poles across the entrance to the shortcut, that hadn't been there before, but I don't need new crashbars because I managed to bend them straight again.

The limp is an old injury.

Hi Pete

It will be likely 2 or 3 months before a full set of protectors arrives from the UK (they still need to be cast on that side of the pond) . In the meantime am discussing with 2 or 3 foundries having a set cast locally (here in Cape Town) - M4 aluminium - probably ready for Spring 2012, since they will await the UK samples before replicating them locally, but then they will be available for slae locally. If you want more info then google 'Steptoe' or 'Stanton' head guards in UK and USA respectively.

Cheers

Thanks Charles; I'll make sure my ears are clean.  Actually injured the same knee again - just bruised though, nothing permanent.
