Shane Hoskins of Danie Maritz Racing has kindly agreed to hold a 1150 GS/A Saturday morning 'workshop', just as he does for the 1200's, 650's, etc.

discussing basic servicing, tank removal, issues/potential problems common to the 1150 range, wheel removal, all the usual stuff!

Limited to no more than 15 participants max.

Date: THIS Saturday 18th February 2012

8.30 am to 12 midday, at D.M.R., Killarney Gardens

(we already have 6 guys confirmed on Wild Dogs, so currently 8 spaces or so available:

1150+GSA WORKSHOP WILL BE POSTPONED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS....

Shane willl still hold the workshop morning for us, but he will be moving on from Auto Atlantic (this Friday?), and will let us know where/when is suitable for him to hold it....

I don't have more info. but after 11 years, he's decided to move on.

If the workshop participants need more info, he can be reached on Cell: 072 297 8745.

I will keep all in the loop about when/where. So NOT cancelled, just postponed!

list updated, 4 participants from last time cannot make it, which leaves us with 5 attending so far, so there are places available for a few more Dogs....

Remember - it's free, with arguably one of the best technical guys in the Cape giving up his Saturday morning to show us what do do ourselves/what to watch out for... :thumleft:

Chris, the club members always pass the hat around at these sessions, for a donation for Shane's time and knowledge. Unfortunately I can't be there on Sunday as there is training, but I would suggest that you do something similar.

We learnt a lot - Shane has extensive knowledge of the 1150GS, and we admired various modifications and fixes attendees had made to their bikes. Shane is organizing a courtesy bike for the workshop, and they will also collect and deliver bikes that you check in for a service.

If you are in the Northern Suburbs with a bike out of warranty, this is a great place to have your bike serviced.
